is Clients & Profits ASAP?
"C&P ASAP is a web-based
studio manager based on Clients & Profits,
my award-winning agency management system for Mac and
Windows that's used by nearly 3,000 ad agencies and design
firms. Clients & Profits ASAP replaces every system
you use to manage clients, proposals, jobs, estimates,
schedules, traffic, job costs, time, and billing. It's
designed to make the most of your time, reduce errors
caused by miscommunication, and improve your profitability
-- at a really low cost."
Why
did Clients & Profits do an all web-based version?
"Over the last 10 years I've pushed new features
into Clients & Profits to the point where it's too much (and too expensive)
for freelancers, small design studios, and advertising agencies who are just
getting started. I'd wanted to do a back-to-basics app -- just clients, jobs,
costs, and billings -- for many years, but couldn't justify the R&D. But the
internet changed everything. High-speed connections, economical ISPs, and the
Linux-based dev tools
made it economical for us to offer C&P ASAP for only 30 bucks a month, which
makes Clients & Profits quality and value affordable for just about anyone."
My
co-workers are spread everywhere, so will C&P ASAP work for us?
"Absolutely! Because Clients & Profits ASAP is web-based, any number
of your co-workers can use from home, at an airport kiosk, in the client's
office -- anywhere they have an internet connection. And, unlike other ASPs,
there's no limits to the number of concurrent Mac or Windows users. Also, you
can personalize who has access to what information, including what each user
can do, keeping overall control of the system."
Do
I have to install anything?
"No. Since C&P ASAP is web-based, it runs inside your web browser.
There are no special plug-ins needed, either."
How
much does it really cost? Are there any hidden charges?
"Clients & Profits ASAP costs $29.95 per month for the first
user. Additional staff members can be added for $5.00 each per month. (A staff
member must be a subscriber to be used for time keeping.) There is no startup
or setup fee. There is no cancellation or exit fee, either. And there are no
extra costs for bandwidth or data storage. There are no hidden charges whatsoever."
How
are we be billed for it?
"The $29.95 monthly fee is charged automatically to your
VISA, MasterCard, or American Express. Sorry, we can
not accept purchase orders, personal checks, or PayPal
payments. We may offer discounts on annual prepayments
next year."
How
do I add additional staff members as C&P ASAP
users?
"It's easy. C&P ASAP has a web page for managing staff members that's
only available the web administrator -- the person who initially signed
up for C&P ASAP. From the Staff web page you can add new staff members (which
cost $5/mo.), edit a staff member's access privileges, or disable a staff
member's account who no longer works there. Disabling an account stops the month
charge starting with the next billing period."
Is
there really a 110% money-back guarantee?
"Yes, absolutely! I'm so sure you'll love Clients & Profits ASAP that
I unconditionally guarantee it. So if you're not completely satisfied
after 30 days, I'll give you a 110% refund."
Can I really
cancel anytime?
"Yes. Once you cancel your subscription, you won't be billed at the next
billing period. You'll have until your next billing date to print any last-minute
report you need. We do not offer refunds for a partial month's subscription."
What
happens to my data if I cancel?
"Unless you tell us otherwise, we'll keep your
data on our servers for 90 days just in case you reconsider
keeping C&P ASAP. Afterwards, all your data will
be deleted."
What
happens if we outgrow C&P ASAP?
"Clients & Profits ASAP is the only web-based application
that has an upgrade path to a full-featured agency management
system: Clients & Profits
Classic. Since both systems
share the same database architecture, trading up is
a snap. We'll convert your data so you'll lose none of
your work. And since both systems work identically, you'll
already know how to use it. We'll even offer you 100%
trade-up credit. So
everything you'll ever pay for C&P ASAP will be applied
towards Clients & Profits Classic."
We
already have Clients & Profits. Can we still use C&P
ASAP?
"C&P ASAP was designed to be a stand-alone studio
manager. It wasn't designed to be a web-based front-end
for Clients & Profits. Too many of the
functions in one would overlap too much with the other."
Can
I get an on-site demonstration of Clients & Profits
ASAP?
"We don't offer on-site sales presentations or
product demonstrations. Instead, we focus on providing
knowledgeable, accurate sales information -- hopefully
everything you'd want to know -- from our web site.
Unlike almost every other agency software company,
we provide everything you'd want to know about our software,
including honest pricing, online. If there's something
more you'd like to know, please call Clients & Profits

Can
C&P ASAP interface with QuickBooks or other accounting
programs?
"No. You can print time, cost, and billing reports to get summaries for
these accounting programs, but there's no built-in data import/export."
Where
is my data stored?
"To ensure that Clients & Profits ASAP is available on 24/7, we
utilize the latest hardware hosted by a professional-grade, US-based internet
service provider. We've designed this setup from the start to be dependable and
to scale to accommodate rapid growth with minimal interruption."
How
can I be sure my data is safe/secure/private?
"We've been serving the advertising/design community for almost 20 years, and we take our commitment to our clients' privacy and security seriously. No one at Clients & Profits will view, share, or copy any proprietary data from any of its clients without their express consent. We employ SSL-based encryption to ensure that your business information stays secure. And we will continuously monitor our servers for improper attempts to access your data." Will
my personal information be available to others?
"No. We will not sell, trade or give your company information, the names
of your staff members, or your account status to any third-party marketing organization.
We do not use our contact lists for unsolicited sales e-mail or telemarketing."
What
kind of customer support can I expect?
"Since we cannot offer one-on-one helpdesk support via email or phone, Clients & Profits ASAP will be supported primarily through our web
site using discussion forums, FAQs, online tutorials, and tech notes."
How
often will Clients & Profits ASAP be updated?
"We'll be updating C&P ASAP continuously as bugs are discovered or as
enhancements are completed. Because it's web-based, updates are installed automatically
on our servers and available to you immediately."
Will
there ever be a web-based version of
Clients & Profits Classic?
"No. The technology behind web servers and web browsers is not mature enough
to reproduce the GUI of Clients & Profits, especially in its interactive error-checking,
interaction between different windows, and in its ability to print high-resolution
reports. At this point, the kind of user experience people expect from Clients
& Profits Classic can only be created in a traditional desktop software application."
