Adding a new client
Clients are the most essential part of your Clients & Profits
ASAP database for a simple reason: A job ticket can't be opened without one.
Once the client is added and saved, it can be seen and used immediately by other
users. This tutorial video shows how to add a new client.
To see a client's account information
A client's account information can be viewed by
clicking one of the links on the client web page:
billing info, contacts, notes, or diary/calls.
The client account information pages include:
Billing info
The billing info window displays the client's standard
billing rate, markup, finance charge, sales tax,
invoice printing options, and current balances.
Contacts The contacts page contains
the key contact people at the client, including
phone numbers. A client's contact information can
be edited here.
Diary/Calls The Client Diary page
lists the client's diary entries, which are added
by account executive, supervisors, and others to
document meetings, conference calls, and other
information about a client. Clicking on a diary
entry displays its complete details, including
who was notified via e-mail.
Add New Diary Entry link
lets you add a new diary entry. The Add Client Diary
Entry page prompts you for the entry's event/action
(i.e., subject) and a description. The new diary
entry can notify one other staff member when it
is saved.
Open Jobs The Open Jobs section
lists the client's jobs that are open. For each
job listed you'll see its number and job name/title.
Clicking on a job number opens the Job Ticket web
page, displaying the selected job and its tasks.
